Army captain, militant killed in encounter

SRINHAGAR: An Army captain and a militant were killed in an encounter between security forces and militants in Pulwama district on Thursday.
Two jawans and a policeman were also injured in the encounter that started yesterday in Mir Mohalla Dadasir, 40 kms from here.

65 dead in stampede in UP temple

NEW DELHI: At least 65 people were killed and 30 injured on Thursday in a stampede at Ram Janki temple in Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh.
Sub divisional magistrate said at least 65 people have been killed in the tragedy in Mangarh area of Kunda town, about 180 km from here.
