Satyam is looking for loan, not bailout: Kiran Karnik

Kiran Karnik, one of the new directors of Satyam Computer has told NDTV that the company was looking for a loan, not a bailout. He, however, said that the main obstacle to getting a loan is that the actual financial liability of the company is still not clear.

When asked whether there was any chance of saving Satyam, Karnik said there’s not just a chance but a very good possibility, it is a good company with great talent and there’s no reason it should not be viable.

Karnik’s remarks come at a time when the government is believed to be mulling a financial package for Satyam.
